The Armour Building

Property Overview

The Armour Building: A Historic Landmark Reimagined

Located at 601 East Exchange Avenue in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards, The Armour Building stands as a testament to early 20th-century industrial architecture and the city’s rich meatpacking heritage. Originally part of the Armour & Co. Packing Plant established in 1902, this structure is the sole survivor of a once expansive complex that played a pivotal role in Fort Worth’s economic development.

Modern Transformation

In a visionary move, U.S. Energy Development Corporation acquired The Armour Building in August 2022, initiating an $8 million restoration project to convert the historic structure into modern office spaces. This adaptive reuse project is being meticulously executed by Bennett Partners, aiming to preserve the building’s historical integrity while introducing contemporary amenities. The renovation includes the addition of new mezzanine floors, feature stairs, roof light wells, and rooftop amenity decks with shade structures. Interior spaces will showcase exposed brickwork and concrete elements, maintaining the building’s authentic industrial character.
